Cousins forever!

Last week...

I had the absolute pleasure of walking into a room full of happy and bubbly kids. They were all wearing their POWER PEACE PURPOSE karate outfits and were going through various karate moves. You could feel the energy in the room!
These children were participating in "Kids Kick Cancer" with their siblings. This is when they are "literally" kicking cancer away!
A big congratulations goes out to "In Honour of the Ones We Love" for bringing this excellent program to Windsor.I love the following sequence of photos. This cute, little girl is 3 years old.

I couldn't resist these tall grasses..

and thankfully my eldest complied and we got these shots in about 3 minutes!

What to do when..

the weather is too windy and chilly to take photos outside AND you are stuck in a car?

Why turn around and take photos through the headrest - I think it framed my subjects beautifully!

I swear that...

no baby goats were injured on this visit to the petting farm. My oldest

is definitely an animal lover and asked if he could have a goat. The answer of course is NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I think that the goat was a little relieved when we left - what do you think?

My little guy just loves

this toy that he got as a birthday present. I love the super happy smile and then...... the attack from big brother comes along! (I love the smushed face.)And the subsequent I-know-I'm-guilty-but-I-love-him-really-I-do look that big brother gives me.

We can't forget about Little Brother...

who totally enjoyed watching everyone pick blueberries! This year I'm sure he'll have more fun because he'll be picking them himself AND he'll get to eat them and eating is one of his favorite things to do.

Blueberry Picking ...

is just around the corner right?

We had so much fun last year!

Mr. Alexi was very meticulous about choosing completely blue blueberries.


The blueberry icecream at the end may have been the best part!

We are ready for ...

warmer weather. And the sooner it comes the better.

because of the kindness of my friend John I can share my first TV debut. (Thanks John!) Yes, it happened last August and I've been wanting to share it forever but some things are better late than never.

Summer on my mind

Or warm weather on my mind (as we freeze through one of the coldest and snowiest winters I can remember). So with that I'm going to start sharing the photos that never made it onto the blog in 2008 for lack of time in the busy fall.

I love the look of happiness just from playing outdoors and I love the golden sun peeking from behind Theo and his dad.
