Before the flu knocked us for a loop . . .

we took the kids to an art gallery thinking "it would be so nice to expose them to some artwork, get them excited about art, etc" Well, they got excited alright. Especially our oldest. About how fast he could run, right past the ART! I would say "Hey look at that painting, isn't it cool?" He would reply "Yeah mom, but look at how FAST I can run!"

That is what the parents of this happy 6.5 moth old call him - and with good reason!

The Terrible Twos have Begun!

Here is my youngest, nonchalantly holding the door handle with his foot so that I cannot open it and get him inside the house. Yes, he is pretending to ignore me knocking on the window and repeatedly asking him to let go of the handle.
In the next shot he is acknowledging my presence - aren't I so lucky?

Now here is an interior shot, while we are driving (I am in the passenger seat-don't worry about me driving and taking photos) and he is not aware that he is being watched. Here he is caught red-footed so to speak and is very delighted with himself.

Why photography?

When our first little guy (and by little I mean 4.6lbs) was born and he was 3 days old I took this photograph of him and my hubby together. When the film came back from the lab I was (and still am) in love with this photograph. Things have changed, like I shoot all digital now and he weighs a lot more but the feeling I get when I look at this photograph is THE SAME. I

love that this feeling is preserved forever. I love that I can do this for clients who desire this same FEELING. And that is why I chose photography!

I cannot believe that my oldest is FIVE !!! Time certainly flies by. Since his b-day fell on a weekday we celebrated small with cupcakes and the big PARTY is to follow.

These two brothers . . .

were so cute! Baby brother is 4 months old and big brother is 3.5 years old. I was happy that I could get big brother to give a kiss as his mom told me that he really doesn't pay a lot of attention to the baby!

This two-and-a-half year old is . . .

a bundle of energy and very photogenic. All her photographs turned out to be perfect fall photos. It didn't hurt that her outfits and hats were super cute too.

Here she is intently picking berries for the squirrels!

I never know . . . . . .

what I will find when I am shooting a session in a new spot. (And 90% of the time I am in a new location) In this area we found the coolest spiral staircase and used it to our advantage.

These two brothers . . . .

were just so fun to be with. They were full of energy and were in constant motion, as all little boys are. I love this photograph of the two of them. Weeping willows are their favorite trees - mine too!!

a lot of fun to photograph. They each have their unique personalities but what they have in common is that they are all stunningly beautiful.

The oldest has hair like she just stepped out of a salon.

The middle child is so cute and curious!

very fun to photograph. Here is big sister looking like an American Eagle model (she is 13 - I already advised mom to "watch out" the boys will be beating down her door.) Younger brother had the longest lashes I have ever seen on a boy.

I love it when kids incorporate their own ideas into their photo shoot - like above.

And little sister could not look any more amazing with those eyes and her windswept hair. She kept me entertained the entire shoot with her charming stories of how she was "contolling the wind" for me. It was perfect.

were a joy to photograph. I love the big gap-toothed grin!

Big brother answered the door and was very ready to be photographed.

Three month old little brother was thinking about sucking his thumb but . . . . he really liked my jokes . . . . .

and really enjoyed sitting and relaxing and cooing to me.

I always have fun photographing . . . .

these handsome boys with their huge eyes and long eyelashes! And I loved capturing the bond of brotherhood. Their mom is a fashion-savvy lady (note the clothes) who really understands the importance of documenting her ever-changing boys through photographs!
